BERNARD DEWULF

In a quiet corner of KMSKA, the words of Bernard Dewulf reveal themselves—softly, unexpectedly, and only when you engage.

Verses are projected onto the gallery floor as subtle beams of light. At first, they appear as delicate blurs, almost invisible. But when a visitor raises their hands or holds up a sign, the text sharpens and becomes legible, momentarily catching the eye and the imagination.

This poetic interaction is made possible by 17 custom 8° profile spots, each equipped with glass gobos no larger than 1 cm², carrying Dewulf’s words. The lights are discreetly integrated into brushed brass tubes, blending seamlessly into the museum’s architecture. Controlled via DALI, the entire installation responds with quiet precision, creating a moment of discovery for every visitor.

A subtle, immersive homage to poetry, light, and the beauty of pause.
