Eigengrau

For Eigengrau, an art installation, we developed a custom curved LED PCB with in total 128 RGBW DMX controlled light sources, and dedicated optics to create the effect desired by the artist.

Zalan Szakacs aims to create an offline, collective experience with Eigengrau, as a counterbalance to the individual digital information overload. Using only light, sound, and haze, the installation evokes a ritual and emotional atmosphere that invites a sense of connection. In twelve minutes, the audience is taken through five mental states, forming a modern fable about light and darkness.
