DALI and DSI (slow and fast version)
DMX/DALI CONVERTER
DALI means DIGITAL ADDRESSABLE LIGHTING INTERFACE and denotes a new interface for building lighting purposes.
DALI advantages for DMX use may be summed up easily: fluorescent tube ballasts, electronic transformers and
discharge lamp ballasts can be driven in together and from the same control source.
What's more, DALI is being supported from numerous manufacterers of building lighting accessories,
such as OSRAM, PHILIPS, TRIDONIC and more. |
DMX CONTROL
Control units offered for building lighting mostly lack the ease of operation and the speed od DMX control.
DALI transmission speed is just 1% of the DMX speed. A converter, doing the required DMX demultiplexing,
the speed adjustment and the protocol conversion, is the tool to use DMX control equipment for DALI operated
building environments. The 3014T card converts 8 DMX channels to DALI and allows connection of up to eight ballast units.
The 3014T decoder adjusts the intensity control range to that of the 3004T, meaning that DSI driven and DALI operated
equipment can be mixed as needed. All devices respond to a uniform, fully logarithmic dimming curve of 1% to 100%.
Address setting is done by separate selector switchboard. |
OUTPUT CONNECTION
To connect the electronic ballasts we offer a separate connector board, equipped with multipin connectors or
with sping loaded terminal contacts. This board additionally supplies power to the connected electronic ballasts,
each unit fused separately. |
MORE SAFETY
To increase safety and to create a SELV device the DMX data input is optically coupled.
This provides full electrical isolation to the driving DMX network and gives the safety you need to reliably operate other devices,
such as dimmer packs, colour scrollers or intelligent fixtures. |
